Who doesn't enjoy a great love story? A couple weeks prior to Valentine's Day, we encouraged our guests to share their very best Tortoise love stories with us on our Facebook page using the hashtag #MyTortoiseLoveStory. The guest who shared the love story that made our hearts flutter the most would receive dinner for two on us. Was your experience with us at Tortoise Supper Club a romantic one? Maybe you had a flirtatious encounter during Happy Hour in the lounge over half off signature cocktails and dollar shrimp and oysters? Or perhaps Tortoise was the place your sweetheart took you on your very first date? Did you celebrate a wedding anniversary in our gorgeous Red Room? We wanted to highlight a couple of our favorite stories you shared with us, as well as our pick for the winner of the #MyTortoiseLoveStory campaign.
Our first #TortoiseLoveStory comes to us from Kristen Sullivan. Kristen's story is about being kind to someone who's new to the neighborhood and developing new friendships. We love that Tortoise Supper Club's intimate, relaxing setting creates a neighborly type of environment that can turn strangers into friends. We love to watch our guests exchanging in friendly conversation with our bartenders, or watch a couple enjoying the company of the couple sitting at the table next to them. It's fostering connections and shared experiences like this that make for the best stories. We agree with Kristen, #FriendshipIsTheBestKindOfLove. Thanks for sharing, Kristen!
This story came to us from Laura M. Kiernan. Laura tells us why she thinks Tortoise Supper Club is the perfect spot for celebrating a special evening and for some pre or post-theatre dining, even if it means keeping the kitchen open for just a bit longer. If it's one thing we will not do, it's turn away the opportunity to make someones night truly special. We appreciate our guests, and we are grateful that they choose to dine at Tortoise Supper Club over the many other fantastic restaurants in this great city. So thank you, Laura, for granting us the possibility of serving you and your husband, and thank you for sharing your Tortoise love story with us!
